The Joe Thompson Foundation was born out of love, resilience, and a promise.
Joe was more than a professional footballer, he was a husband, a dad, and someone who always believed in giving back. Three times in his life he faced cancer, and each time he showed extraordinary strength and determination.
Joe also saw, first-hand, how quickly life can change, and how important it is to have the right protection and support in place for your family.
When Joe passed in 2025, the life cover he had taken out became his final promise to us his way of making sure his children had the future he always dreamed for them. That single act of love and preparation carried us through, and it’s why this foundation exists.
